Mel Collier became involved in Information for All through his chairmanship of the Research Committee of the Library and Information Commission.
Professor Collier is responsible for libraries, computing, networking, media services, teaching and learning development and staff development at De Montfort university. For many years he has been active in research and development of library technology. Whilst holding a senior management position in the University, Professor Collier has maintained a high profile in British Librarianship. He is chair of the Research Committee, Library and Information Commission, chair of the British Council Libraries and Information Advisory Committee and chair of the Management Committee of the International Institute for Electronic Library Research.
